High School 2-day-a-week Program

Overview:

Our 2-day-a-week complete high school program is designed to help homeschooling families ensure their student is receiving a program and classes that meet the requirements of a full high school program. While state requirements form the basis of these plans, each plan is individualized based on each student’s unique needs and desires. With future dreams and goals in mind, we will sit down with the student and parent and choose in-person classes, online classes, or create guidelines for an individual study course—the options are limitless. During the 2024-2025 school year, we will be working toward becoming a fully-accredited high school program.

Benefits:

-Students will receive an individualized course requirement/graduation plan

-Transcript will be provided

-Teacher supervision, both small group and individually

-Parents do as much or as little as they choose

-Field trips

-School ID cards

What will this look like each day?

Students will attend Thrive on Mondays and Wednesdays of each week.

Mondays:

Students will be on campus from 9 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. under the leadership of Ms. Stephanie Starr (please see bio for Ms. Starr)

During that time, students may find themselves working on various subjects, including their in-person Wednesday classes and online math class. Students may also work on any other classes that have been selected to fit into their yearly and/or graduation plan. Throughout the day, students may be seen working or collaborating in small groups, working independently, or receiving extra instruction or help from Ms. Starr.

A Christian/Biblical studies course will be led by Ms. Starr.

All work will be supervised by Ms. Starr for progress and completion to ensure students are staying on track for each course.

Wednesdays:

Students will be on campus taking a variety of in-person classes they choose. The cost of these classes is included in the program price. There is no additional fee for in-person classes.

The list of class options may be found on the High School Classes or High School Schedule page.

Any student with a break from classes during the school day is welcome to remain on campus for study hall.

Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays:

Students will be at home, completing additional homework and participating in work activities, extracurricular activities, and family life.
