Meet Our Teachers

Alece Campbell holds a Bachelor's degree in English Language Arts from the University of North Texas.  Alece taught in Lewisville ISD for 11 years, is a reading/writing tutor, and homeschools her three boys.  She believes reading and writing are the keys that open the door to lifelong learning. 

Lina Eisman has been teaching for 32 years. She studied interior design at the University of Missouri and design and visual arts in Florida including: merchandising, sign painting, murals, metal sculpture, and pottery. Mrs. Eisman is interested in “functional art” as well as visual art and has 46 years in the art working world. She is a student favorite and kids return year after year to take her class.

April Fortner graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Physics and a minor in chemistry from the University of Arkansas. She served 2 years in an organic chemistry lab on campus assisting in the production of new cancer treatments. She taught physics labs at the university during graduate school. She homeschooled her 4 children all the way through, and the oldest two are in college. She has experience teaching teens in co-ops, classes, and in tutoring for math, science, and German. She’s excited to share her love of science with your student!

Kathy Hammond holds a bachelor’s degree from TWU in communication sciences and disorders with an emphasis in deaf educations. She is an experienced ASL teacher and has been homeschooling her 5 children for 18 years.

Rana Hicks graduated from Baylor University with a degree in education. She taught in Coppell ISD and at Coram Deo Academy before homeschooling her own children. She has one daughter who has completed grad school and is now a BCBA and 2 children currently in college.

Jacqueline Medcalf was homeschooled growing up, and went on to study English at the University of Dallas. Since graduating in 2019, she has worked in education as a teacher and administrator, and currently works as a test prep tutor. She is a mom of two little future homeschoolers. In her freetime, she enjoys playing board games, gardening, baking, arts and crafts, and going on adventures with her family.

Jenna Morris is a 1998 graduate of Liberty University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology.  She has been married to her college sweetheart for 26 years.  Together, they have homeschooled all three of their children since 2011.  They suspect they will be finished by 2029!  For the past 9 years Jenna has been teaching American History, World History, and various other classes sprinkled in for fun!  She loves teaching History by asking students a lot of questions and has been known to be full of energy.  Jenna is very passionate about teaching from a Biblical Worldview. Fun Fact: she has lived in 7 different states and is content to have landed in Texas for the last 21 years!

Eliana Reece was raised in a bilingual home speaking Portuguese and English. She obtained Bachelors degrees in both Spanish and Film from California State University, Long Beach. She feels that as our world grows smaller each day, the ability to communicate effectively and meet people where they are is increasingly important; speaking more than one language can help facilitate that connection. She and her husband have 3 children; their sons are college students and their 10th grade daughter is homeschooled.

Ashley Rideout holds a BA in Education and an MA in Counseling from Liberty University. She started her teaching career in Texas and earned a Gifted Endorsement from UNT. Four years later she moved to Mexico and started a school for an orphanage where she lived and taught for 5 years. After earning her Masters in Counseling, she worked in youth mental health programs for a few years, eventually returning to teach Gifted and Talented grades K-5 in Virginia. She has taught Life Science for Middle School online through Liberty University Online Academy for the last 11 years and is currently homeschooling her own boys in 2nd and 5th grades. Ashley is passionate about seeing others reach their potential and providing challenges to stretch students. She loves using cross subject connections for maximum learning.

Rachel Rose holds a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Sociology from TWU. She was a Juvenile Probation Officer with Denton County for 8 years before staying home with her children. Having been homeschooled herself, Rachel has now been homeschooling her children for the past 4 years. She has a passion and great respect for our law enforcement community and wants to share her knowledge and educate others. 

Stephanie Starr holds a BA in English Literature from SMU and a master’s in Humanities and Classical Education from the University of Dallas. She has four sons, all of whom she homeschooled from kindergarten through 12th grade. She has taught classes in various states and is a reading/writing/spelling tutor as well as a freelance copywriter. She is passionate about helping students make connections, express themselves elegantly, and fall in love with literature and history.

Sarah Williamson Pasquale has her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Texas at Arlington. She taught art in Arlington ISD for 11 years. Sarah enjoys all genres of art, but her favorite is abstract art. She has a passion to instill this love of art in young artists aspires to illustrate books one day. Sarah was homeschooled her entire life.

Felicia Wilson graduated from Oklahoma Christian with a bachelor's degree in education. She has been in education for 21 years and taught in Irving ISD and Coppell ISD before deciding to homeschool her two children.  Felicia has been homeschooling for the past 8 years.
